On June 23rd, the Pomona Fairplex will become the assembly ground for glovers to meet, socialize, and do what they do best: make the shifting of colors look spectacular. Most significantly, there will be a tournament where light-crafters will be able to test their colorful mettle. According to the organizers themselves:
"Swiss-style tournament rules. All glovers will trade shows with at least 6 different glovers throughout the tournament. Pairings will be done based on stats / win-losses, so that you will be matched up with other glovers in your ranking. After 6 rounds of trading has commenced the top 32 glovers will participate in the "Playoff Dome" and compete for the top prize of being claimed the Gloving Champion! If you’re new to gloving and worried you can’t hang with the competitors, it’s still great to come and watch, learn, and meet all your favorite glovers!"
" We will be showcasing to the world the top talent existing out there and will be rewarding all participants with large cash and prizes."
All within the course of a day, attendees will be able to experience the art of the light show in its fluorescent and tastefully competitive glory. To sweeten the day's deal, the IGC's mecca of gloving talent will be matched fully by those craft and sculpt sound, not sights. A slew of pristine quality, genre-bending artists such as rising superstar tyDi, Ghostkick and Gummy will also perform as myriads of twisted and contorted lights decorate the Fairplex.
