Kaskade Shuts It Down In Hollywood Blvd... Literally

Electronic Music fans have been going crazy for the past week after legendary House DJ Kaskade posted on Facebook last week that he was going to spin at a local club in Los Angeles in a week, everybody wondered and gathered up clues to try and figure out where he was going to be at. Five days later the DJ revealed that he was in fact going to spin at Supperclub in Hollywood, CA for the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience after party for the 21+ crowd on July 27th, 2011. Kaskade also mention on Facebook about renting a flat bed truck with a huge speakers on them and spinning infront of the Chinese Theater for free. Once the fans heard free people went nuts, this was dubbed the Kaskade Block Party.

Wednesday, July 27th fans of Kaskade start to gather up in front of the Chinese Theater for this man's arrival and free show to the public. The crowd starts to grow and grow and gets the attention of the police but they don't react. Kaskade was set to play at 6pm exactly but he was a no show. By 6:37pm the crowd has grown to the thousands, police start to block off Hollywood blvd. Time passes and still no performer, Kaskade posted this on his official twitter, "I am so close. Getting on the truck now. Mad traffic. On my way to the block party." As the crowd get's bigger so does the number of police officers but still no problems.. yet. Another tweet from the man himself to keep the crowd happy "News choppers overhead. The man trying to shut us down. Hang on I am coming!!! This is crazy." 

Finally, sometime around 7pm Kaskade shows up on Highland ave bumping loud House music on a truck with huge speakers on each side, the crowd goes wild. But shortly after spinning for maybe 20 minutes he was forced to leave because Hollywood blvd was too crowded for the truck to even enter. The LA Police department actually shut down Hollywood Blvd for over crowding. As soon as that occurred riots broke out and people went ape sh*t. Flying bottles, fights, rubber bullets, cop cars being smashed (Click For Video), planking, and arrest all happen within 2 hours after the block party was forced to shut down, it looked like Hollywood Blvd was a war zone. The street had to be shut down for nearly five hours.

All of Los Angeles was on their toes waiting for what was to come next after this riot. KTLA (Click For Report), KCAL, and Fox 11 have already started to spread the news fast and even began saying nasty rumors around the city, they even had to mention last years incident with the 15 year old that overdosed at EDC 2010. This was a huge blow to the LA Rave scene. People want the Electric Daisy Carnival back in LA but today proved that we are NOT ready as a community to bring it back, we must grow first and learn to respect each other as well as keep the peace within our Rave culture.. Keep The Peace!!!

Kaskade Back In Los Angeles

After Kaskade posted on Facebook a few days ago saying he would be back in LA on Wednesday July 27th, the people starting going crazy and wondered where and why? But now all the rumors have been set to rest. Mr. Kaskade recently posted on his where abouts on the event he's spinning at. Read the statement down below... We actually called Supperclub and were told the event is 21+ and tickets will start off at $50 a person.. Not bad.

"Kaskade will be starring in the worldwide movie premiere of "The Electric Daisy Carnival Experience" which releases one night only on August 4th, 2011. For more info on the film, check out: EDC Experience

The exclusive premiere for celebrities and DJ's alike will take place on Wednesday, July 27th, at the world famous Mann's Chinese Theater at 6925 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, CA. Red Carpet attendees will be dazzled by EDC performersand a "Cirque du Soleil" style production that will bring a taste of the EDC experience to Hollywood. This private screening is closed to the public.

Immediately following the premiere will be the Official After Party, held a few blocks away at SupperClub, 6675 Hollywood Blvd. Kaskade along with other DJ's will be playing this private event. However, there will be a small amount of tickets available to fans!

The After Party beings at 10:30pm. Kaskade is scheduled to spin from midnight to 2am. As guests from the party leave the venue it will open up space to allow the sale of some tickets to the public. The ticket price is set at $50. SupperClub anticipates there will be 200 to 300 tickets that will be available the night of. Audiotistic Festival 2011

Audiotistic is finally this weekend, July 30th, 2011, at the NOS events center located in San Bernardino, Ca and we're more excited then ever for the event. This years lineup feels like it should be apart of one of the bigger massives that come around every season but luckily it is not. One month after the famous 15th annual Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas passed the people are once again feening for the next big festival after experiencing 3-full days of non-stop Electronic Dance Music in the desert. But luckily Insomniac has brought you another great massive for the ages. On Monday, July 25th Insomniac announced that Sebastian Ingrosso will not be able to make it to Audio this weekend due to surgery and was forced to cancel all his US tour dates until September. Luckily Insomniac Events just announced that Wolfgang Gartner will take his place and headline the festival.

Tomorrowland 2011 DJ Sets

The legendary Electronic Music festival known as Tomorrowland returned to Belgium for it's 2011 chapter and this years lineup was once again amazing. Three full days of non stop heart throbbing beats to make you dance non stop; This years lineup features 6 stages with the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Faithless, Kaskade, Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Ferry Corsten Aly & Fila, Fedde Le Grand all on day 1. Day 2 consisted of Tiesto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Sven Vath, Above & Beyond, Sander Van Doorn, Cosmic Gate, Hardwell, and Afrojack. Day 3 also brought some amazing talent including David Guetta, Chuckie, Wolfgang Gartner, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Dubfire, Marco Carola, and Steve Angello. This festival was truly amazing and for the people who couldn't make it to the event it was broadcasted live all over the world for us to enjoy. Nadia Ali at Vanguard LA

The Queen of Clubs Miss Nadia Ali returns to Los Angeles this Friday, July 22 for a spectacular performance live at Vanguard LA. Nadia Ali is known for her Club/Dance hit single "Rapture", #2 UK Charts, as one half of the House duo known as iiO. The single became a huge dancefloor hit in the US in 2001 as well as in the UK, many DJ's remixed this classic song still till this day. The Swedish and now well known DJ Avicii remixed her hot single in 2010 and blew up instantly all around the world, it helped start Avicii's career and resurrected Nadia Ali's as well. The up and coming Dubstep duo Zeds Dead (DC and Hooks) stop by Los Angeles this Saturday, July 23 at the House of Blues on Sunset blvd presented by SMOG. These two have built a huge fan base within the Dubstep/Progressive crowd in the last year with their Hardcore beats melting your f*cking faces off. Zeds Dead music can be heard played by many big name DJs such as Bassnectar, Rusko, and even Diplo. The Identity Festival: Los Angeles lineup has FINALLY been announced and they decided to move the festival from LA to San Bernardino at the San Manuel Amphitheater. After waiting weeks and weeks for the lineup to be revealed it's here, but we aint really feeling it. The San Diego and Mountain View lineup looks way more appealing then this maybe because Afrojack and Kaskade are both going to be there, it looks like the SD show is going to be the popular choice amongst the Ravers. And just like the other ID Fest the "LA" event will start selling tickets beginning Friday, July 15th through July 17th for only $20. Then regular priced GA will be available once the $20 tickets have sold out.
